GRAPHIC: Bodies of 3 Dead Migrants Found in 5 Days in Single Texas County

Sheriff’s deputies in Brooks County, Texas, recovered the decaying remains of three migrants in five days. The migrants all appeared to have died after being abandoned by human smugglers on ranches surrounding the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint. To date, nearly 20 migrants have died in this single Texas county located 80 miles from the Mexican border.

Exclusive: Gulf Cartel Leader Caught Sneaking Across Texas Border

Federal authorities arrested a leading lieutenant with Mexico’s Gulf Cartel in Texas after he illegally snuck across the Rio Grande to enter the United States. Law enforcement agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) had their sights on the cartel cell leader for some time in connection with multiple drug shipments allegedly linked to him.

Another Narco-Music Singer Killed in Mexican Border City

Cartel violence in the border city of Tijuana continued this week as cartel gunmen murdered a Mexican narco-music singer at an upscale outdoor mall. A total of 145 homicides have been registered in Tijuana during the month of July as of late Friday night bringing the total killed in 2019 to, 1,244.

Mexican Army General Arrested During Fuel Theft Investigation

Mexican authorities arrested a retired Army general in connection with an ongoing investigation into the large-scale theft of fuel as part of an organized crime money-making scheme. The general was responsible for providing security for Mexico’s state-owned oil company (Pemex). The investigation also implicates another top general who was the chief of security for former Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.

Mexican Border State Cops Kidnapped by Cartel Gunmen Found Murdered

Officials found the remains of the four kidnapped municipal police officers on Wednesday morning. A team of cartel gunmen in the Mexican border state of Chihuahua kidnapped them on July 14. The four municipal police officers responded to a disturbance call at “La Presa El Tigre” — the Tigre Dam — when the group of cartel gunmen carried out the kidnapping.

Nine Shot, 3 Dead During Gulf Cartel Ambush on Border State Cops

A series of brazen attacks by Gulf Cartel gunmen against border state police officers killed one lawman and injured four others. The police officers fought off the attack killing two cartel gunmen and injuring two others who managed to escape. A total of nine people including the cartel gunmen and police officers were struck during the exchange of gunfire.

Mexico-Based U.S. Citizen Admits Smuggling 450,000 Fentanyl Pills

A U.S. citizen who resided in the Mexican border city of Tijuana admitted to smuggling more than 450,000 fentanyl pills from that country into the United States. The drug smuggler made the confession during a guilty plea before a federal judge in a U.S. District Court. The alleged criminal activity occurred during a nine-month conspiracy from February to October 2018.

Three Members of Mexico’s New National Guard Arrested for Kidnapping

Police arrested three members of Mexico’s newly formed militarized National Guard police force for the alleged kidnapping of a 14-year-old teen in the state of Guerrero. Authorities took the three National Guard members into custody along with an adult civilian male. The arrests came during a joint operation by investigative anti-kidnapping personnel from the state prosecutor’s office of the states of Mexico and Guerrero.
