HOUSTON, Texas — A federal court handed down a 30-year prison sentence to a man convicted on charges of child sex trafficking and related crimes. The convictions follows his arrest in 2012 following his return from London.

A Houston federal court judge sentenced Jason Daniel Gandy, 41, to spend 30 years in prison following his conviction in July for child sex trafficking. The court found him guilty four counts of sex trafficking minors, one count of transporting minors, one count of sexually exploiting a child and one count of transporting child pornography, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials. Gandy will also receive a lifetime supervised release following the completion of his prison term. The court ordered the man to register as a sex offender and have no access to children or the Internet when he is released.

A report obtained from ICE by Breitbart News in 2012 revealed that immigration officers stopped Gandy in the United Kingdom during the 2012 Olympics after he and a boy arrived on a flight originating in Houston. According to the complaint, U.K. officials became suspicious about a 35-year-old man traveling with an unrelated 15-year-old boy. Both of them were returned to Texas on separate flights from London.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents greeted Gandy upon his return. An investigation revealed that Gandy operated a massage business out of his home and used the boy to give massages.  Evidence revealed in court states individuals who were paying for the massages were allegedly allowed to fondle the child and the boy was required to sexually gratify the customers.

Further investigation by HSI agents revealed that Gandi engaged multiple young men–including minors and adults. Four of his victims, all minors at the time of the offenses, testified that Gandy manipulated them into performing massages on men which “culminated in sexually gratifying the client.”

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas prosecuted the case.

ICE officials report that “Since the launch of Operation Predator in 2003, HSI has arrested more than 16,000 individuals for crimes against children, including the production and distribution of online child exploitation material, traveling overseas for sex with minors, and sex trafficking of children. In fiscal year 2017, more than 2,700 child predators were arrested by HSI special agents under this initiative and more than 900 victims identified or rescued.”
