Durbin: Democrat Majority Senate Will Return ‘Balance’ to Federal Courts

Democratic Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) said Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead” if his party takes the majority in the November election, they will restore “balance” to the courts in response to the Republican-controlled Senate confirming President Donald Trump’s nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett, to the Supreme Court.

McCaskill: GOP SCOTUS Push ‘Abuse of Power Over a Thick Layer of Hypocrisy’

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), now an NBC News contributor, said on Sunday’s broadcast of NBC’s “Meet the Press” that President Donald Trump and Senate Republicans push to seat Judge Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court before the November election “an abuse of power over a thick layer of hypocrisy.”
