Fauci: Vaccine Rollout Failing Because States Have Been Left ‘on Their Own’

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci said Thursday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports ” that Operation Warp Speed’s Covid vaccine rollout was falling short of the administration’s goal of administering 20 million shots in December because states had not been given the resources they require.

Western States Approve Coronavirus Vaccine

A coalition of western states — California, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada — approved the new coronavirus vaccine being shipped by by Pfizer and BioNTech on Sunday, allowing the first doses to be distributed across the region.

FDA Approves Pfizer’s Coronavirus Vaccine

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Friday night approved the first coronavirus vaccine for emergency use in the United States, several media outlets reported, clearing the way for U.S. officials to begin vaccinating millions of Americans as early as next week.
