Russia Warns: 5,000 Islamic State Jihadis Amassing in Northern Afghanistan

Sinaloa Cartel-Linked Meth Trafficker Sent to Prison in Montana

A Sinaloa Cartel-linked trafficker and Mexican citizen was sentenced to 57 months in a federal prison in Billings, Montana, last week after pleading guilty in January to possession with the intent to distribute approximately 34 pounds of methamphetamine. Two other defendants have pled guilty and are awaiting sentencing.

Russian Journalists Protest ‘Clampdown on Free Speech’ with Mass Resignations

Every reporter working for the political section of Russia’s Kommersant daily business newspaper resigned on Monday to show their solidarity with two veteran journalists forced out of their jobs by political pressure. Deported Migrant Nearly Drowns Infant While Crossing Texas Border River

A three-month-old boy nearly drowned in the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass, Texas, as he was carried by a previously deported Honduran claiming to be the child’s father. Border Patrol agents rescued the pair and later flew the infant to a San Antonio hospital for intensive care.
